3M Heavy Duty Mounting VHB Tape 5952 is a black, two-ply VHB adhesive tape with an acrylic foam core. The modified acrylic adhesive is a highly conformable foam on both sides that provides adhesion to the widest range of substrates/surfaces, including most powder coated paints. Supplied in a red release liner. 3M Heavy Duty 45 mil Double Sided Tape 5952 provides you with the simplicity and ease of taping and is ideal for many indoor and outdoor bonding applications. 3M Heavy Duty Double Sided Tape (Automotive and Heavy Duty) can replace liquid adhesives, rivets, spot welds and other permanent fasteners in many applications. Note: It is recommended to use 4 square inches of VHB 5952 per pound of load. Rough surfaces may require additional tape. Backing/Reinforcement: Closed Cell Acrylic Foam. Adhesive: Modified Acrylic. Release liner: PE red film. Thickness: 50 mils (backing, adhesive, liner) 45 mils (backing, adhesive) 5 mils (coating). Adhesion: 320 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel).
